Survey reveals 45% of people are afraid of needles
Survey carried out on behalf of Amara Clinic in Dublin
Amara Clinic is the first clinic in Ireland to purchase the TargetCool machine
There will be no more tears for fears with pain-free injections on the way thanks to the cutting-edge new device – TargetCool!
Amara Clinic, a renowned medical aesthetic clinic located at 1 Fitzwilliam Street Upper in the heart of Georgian Dublin, announced its purchase of a TargetCool machine the first to be purchased Ireland. This revolutionary device represents a major leap forward in topical cooling technology, and promises to transform the way people with concerns about pain and needles approach facial injectables. The TargetCool machine will now give Amara Clinic clients a unique experience by offering pain free injections. It is an ideal option for those who experience anxiety at the prospect of needles.
Dr. Paul Munsanje, founder of Amara Clinic said:
“Over the years I’ve seen first-hand how many patients have a real fear of needles and so in the interest of improving my patient’s experience, I researched options and found TargetCool”.
Amara Clinic carried out a survey asking people about their fears of needles, and some results included:
- 80% of people said they have had a painful injection
- 73% of people said that they would avoid having an injection for fear of it being painful
- 35% of people would avoid having an injectable treatment because of needles
How does TargetCool work?
TargetCool works by using compressed CO2 as a cryogen – an agent that produces low temperatures. Delivery of the cool CO2 is controlled by digital modulated, IR sensors, and a calibrated nozzle. This all means TargetCool is able to deliver precise, controlled, and rapid cooling to the skin where an aesthetic doctor intends to inject. The cooling has an anaesthetic effect and improves comfort to the point of not being able to feel the needle at all. This innovative technology has never been seen before in Ireland, making Amara Clinic a game-changer in the injectable industry.
Comfort and fear of needles aside, there are other benefits too. Cooled skin and underlying tissue reduces injection site swelling, the most common side-effect of facial injectables. Further to that, the vasoconstriction reduces potential bruising risks, another common side-effect of injections.
“We are thrilled to introduce TargetCool to our patients,” said Dr. Paul Munsanje. “This device allows us to perform injectable treatments more easily, as any patient with a fear of needles, or concern about injection pain, can completely relax while we do our thing. We believe that this device will revolutionise the way we perform injectable treatments, delivering better results and a more comfortable experience for all our patients.”
The arrival of TargetCool has been greeted with excitement and anticipation from within the industry and patients alike. With its advanced technology and precision engineering capabilities, TargetCool is poised to become a game-changer in the cosmetic industry.
