A young Donegal business woman got up close and personal with one of the most famous women in the world last week after gaining VIP access to an event in New York. Aisling Cunningham, the founder of Powder ‘n’ Pout Cosmetics visited New York last month to attend a make-up master class run by Mario Dedivanovic with none other than Mrs Kardashian-West as his model! Aisling’s brushes had been hand-picked by Mario for the gift bag at his previous master class in Toronto.
Describing the experience, Aisling said it felt unreal. ‘The master class lasted about 5 hours after which there was a meet and greet with Mario and Kim. They were both lovely and had a genuine rapport with each other. They seemed to have similar personalities and were very pleasant and patient with people asking questions’.
Aisling, who met Mario previously in Toronto, admitted she did not know what to expect when meeting Kim, but said she was taken aback by how relaxed and down to earth the reality star came across. “There was absolutely no diva like behaviour from her and she made a genuine effort with people. Not what you would expect from one of the most famous faces on the planet!”
Mario has been working with Kim since the second season of Keeping up with the Kardashians aired in October 2007. Aisling said it was clear from the masterclass that the pair had a great relationship, with Kim confessing she would often sit to get her makeup done by Mario without checking it in the mirror, as she had so much trust in his work. Aisling said “it was a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people in the industry” and that she has been a fan of Mario’s work for years. So what’s next for this young entrepreneur? “Who know’s?” she replies with a smile, “let’s wait and see.”
