At Origins every day is Earth Day. We believe in the responsibility to give back and strive to make conscious decisions that help minimise our impact on the Earth to improve the lives of present and future generations to come.
In honour of Earth Month 2023, Origins is accelerating its urban forestry initiative to plant trees across North America, sponsoring and participating in more than 25 high-impact urban forestry projects across major U.S. cities. We are nearly doubling the size of last year’s city project planting efforts, which continue to address environmental justice issues, help communities achieve higher tree equity, and positively impact ecosystems across the globe.
To-date, Origins has planted and cared for more than 2.3M trees (and counting!).
Locally in the UK, Origins have continued our partnership with The Future Forest Company and have just finished planting 3,333 trees in Pleasantfield, among the Ayrshire countryside in Scotland, to help return the land back into a thriving woodland habitat. Since 2018, Origins UK have planted 44,618 trees throughout the UK to encourage woodland to thrive, creating habitats for animals and increasing biodiversity.
In addition to our Earth Month initiatives, on 1st April we will be launching our newest addition to the Mega Mushroom family, the Mega Mushroom Restorative Skin Concentrate (RRP: £49.00 / €56.00). To prep skin for Spring after the cold winter months, this multi-action comforting concentrate helps rapidly soothe the look of irritation while helping improve the look of redness. It works to help strengthen the moisture barrier with three actions of rescue to Replenish, Renew, and Resist future damage.
The formula is made with a plant-based Phyto-Powered Barrier Defense Complex featuring Brown Algae, Olive Oil, and Pomegranate Sterols that helps support essential lipids to strengthen skin’s protective barrier, encourage hydration and promote resiliency. It also includes Origins signature Molecular Mushroom Complex with Reishi Mushroom and Fermented Chaga to help reduce the look of irritation and redness for soothed, stable, healthy-looking skin plumped with youthful moisture.
Earth Month: Aveda Continues its Mission to Provide Clean Water
This Earth Month, Aveda is proud to support its nonprofit charity partner, charity: water as it seeks to provide clean water to people in need. Since 1999, when Aveda first launched its annual Earth Month campaign, the brand has raised more than $69 million for hundreds of global and local organisations, providing clean water to more than 1.5 million people and protecting thousands of local watersheds. Together with charity: water, Aveda focuses on providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene to people in need during Earth Month 2023 and beyond. With access to clean water nearby, families are heathier and have more time to go to school or earn an income.
To celebrate, Aveda will be selling its award-winning Botanical Repair™ Strengthening Leave-In Treatment (RRP: £32.50 / €37.00) in a limited-edition 125ml size with special-edition packaging, starting 1st April. $10 from the sale of each product will go toward funding clean water projects with charity: water.
