This year’s judges had a tough job sifting through more than 30,000 entries. Readers were eager to show their appreciation for the independent shops making a difference up and down the country.
Edvard and Pink were Just among 100 stores that made it on to the short list, vying for a place were butchers, bakers, fabric shops, hardware stores, garden center’s, café tea rooms, green grocers, fish shops, chemists sports emporiums, lingerie shops, bookshops, opticians, barbers, hairdresser’s wax and brow bars, boutiques and gentleman’s outfitters.

The awards are the pinnacle of achievement for Irish businesses and are based on a votes and mystery guest visits from a highly regarded panel of judges including John Redmond creative director Brown Thomas, Simon Pratt, MD of Avoca, Eddie Shanahan, retail consultant, Deirdre mcQuillan, fashion editor at the Irish Times and Robert Doherty of AIB and Sarah Halliwell beauty editor at The Gloss

The winners announced on Saturday August 27th are recognised for setting benchmarks in quality, innovation and service for retailers around the country. ‘’The therapists are first class too’’ The Irish Times wrote.
