Kohinoor Beauty is a beauty and wellness destination in the centre of Dublin City. An oasis of calm offering truly modern beauty treatments while following the ancient philosophy of Indian holistic living. We are heavily influenced by the ancient lifestyle practice of Ayurveda, which aims to create harmony and wellness within the body. Ayurveda is widely practised in India, it works on the basis that all life forms have a “dosha”, a unique mix of energies knows as vata, pitta and kapha, similar to the western idea of elements – water, fire, wind and so on. Ayurvedic spa treatments involve therapeutic essential oils personalised to suit your dosha. The massage techniques used include tapping, kneading and squeezing as well as the more traditional massage strokes. Our staff will be trained by a master massage therapist from India. The style and flow of the massage is determined by what your needs are and who you are. Our therapists will be trained to focus on the marma points, similar to pressure points in reflexology and acupressure.
The salon is furnished with hand carved furniture designed and made exclusively for Kohinoor and brought directly from India. Every product that will be used in Kohinoor will be cruelty free, we believe that no animal should suffer for us to be beautified.
The salon is opening in mid-August and will offer a full nail treatment menu along with facial threading, waxing and brow and lash treatments and from mid-September will offer a full beauty service menu. Including facials, massage and intimate waxing.Kohinoor will have the very best products at our disposal for use in salon while also using traditional Indian oils in all our massage treatments and for cuticle oils.
Our deep connection to our founders Indian heritage is evident in every choice that has been made from furniture to our paint colour, Indian Ink Blue. The oils that we will be using onsite will all be organic and each person will have their oil specifically designed to suit their needs while having treatments.
