The LEO Dublin City Women in Business Network Awards were presented in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Kildare Street Dublin. Anita Donoghue, one of the directors at The Hair Café Salon was honoured with an award that celebrates exceptional women in business in the Dublin City area. Her award was for the best start up of the Year. The Hair Café has been open since September 2016 in Smithfield Dublin, and is the home of the Hungarian hair God.
This award is a fantastic example of hard work paying off, and an inspiration to any woman thinking about a new business venture in 2018. Along with the prestige of the award the Salon won an investment of €500 and a €500 voucher towards services provided by LEO Dublin City.
The Deputy Head of Enterprise and Economic Development of LEO Dublin City, Mary McSweeney, said on the event, “I am delighted to present these Awards to two worthy businesswomen who are growing and developing their business in the Dublin City region. It is great to see that there has been an increase in women starting their own businesses in the last few years, supported through Local Enterprise Office Dublin City.”
