Great Lengths has announced the finalists for The GLammies Awards 2023!

Ireland’s leading hair extension brand Great Lengths has announced the finalists for this year’s GLammies Awards, the ultimate awards for hair extension specialists. The Great Lengths GLammies on March 26^th will have eight categories; it will be a night overflowing with glamour and style.

The GLammies by Great Lengths seek to celebrate the craft and creativity of hair stylists and salons across the Republic of Ireland and the business of extensions. With six creative categories and two business categories including the coveted Great Lengths Trophy for Extension Excellence, stylists across the country created their most daring and innovative looks to stand out amongst their peers in each category.

Rachel-Marie Walsh, Editor at Large of Creative HEAD Ireland, Karina Corbett, editor of Professional Beauty Ireland and supermodel Sophie Anderton were tasked to choose the finalists of each category and will award the overall Great Lengths Trophy for Extension Excellence at the finals on March 26^th at an evening event in Medley which will be MC’d by TV Presenter Brian Dowling.

Creative Categories

Longer Length

Calling all mermaids! Entrants were asked to demonstrate how Great Lengths hair extensions can add length to their client’s natural hair, seamlessly blend and create a truly exceptional transformation.

• Denise McCluskey at Michelle International

Enviable Volume

Great Lengths hair extensions are everyone’s best kept secret to thicker, natural looking hair.

Stylists were asked to create a final look demonstrating how using hair extensions can create fuller, thicker hair for even the finest hair.

• Katie Crowley at Hession Hairdressing Clontarf
• Sorcha Fennelly at Crown Hair Studio

Captivating Colour

Let’s get creative! Stylists were asked to add colour to their clients natural hair using Great Lengths hair extensions. Bold or subtle, this should reflect a fashionable, on-trend look which inspires and shows the versatility of Great Lengths hair extensions.

Creative Innovation

Stylists stepped out of their comfort zones to demonstrate unique and experimental concepts whilst creating their looks.

Bridal Creation

Modern twists on classics styles, stylists were asked to demonstrate how using hair extensions can create the wedding hair of their clients dreams.

Best Newcomer

Show us how you’ve set the world of hair extensions on fire! We’re looking for a newly certified hair extensionist who has demonstrated true success with the brand and created truly exceptional, creative final looks.

Business Categories

Great Lengths is seeking to recognise the most talented extension salons and stylists across Ireland. Judges will be looking for entries that showcase how hairdressers have used Great Lengths in their business to build a strong reputation, a loyal client base and an outstanding body of work.

All winners will receive tickets for a group tour of the Great Lengths production facility in Rome, with two nights 5* accommodation, meals and internal transfers for two people.

Winners will also receive a GLammies trophy, logos for marketing, social media coverage and plenty of PR across the country in both trade and local press – all of which will allow salons and stylists to stand out from the competition and mark themselves out as the best in the business.
